Changes Coming to Redefined

We've shared many beautiful stories of people living sent in Starkville, our state, and even across the world. At the beginning of the year, we shared Traci Campbell's testimony and her challenge for all of us to be encouragers. We heard stories of people from First Baptist Starkville living sent at seminary, in our state, and even in the oldest inhabited city in the world. These stories, as always, remind us of God's faithfulness and our calling to share the hope found in Jesus Christ.

Redefined has been a staple for many years at First Baptist Starkville, and over the last year it has been changing, becoming a vehicle for sharing the stories of our sent ones. Though varied, these stories share the same inspiration: people following Jesus and inviting others to come along. Redefined has always been, as best we can make it, a response to God's work in our church and its people. We believe that Redefined is morphing into something new, a new and different way of sharing stories and equipping our church to tell their own stories. Now, it's time for us to lean into these winds of change. You should be aware of two changes coming in the near future.

First, Redefined will no longer ship physically on a quarterly schedule. We will continue to produce content and share stories via our website and social media. Sharing these stories is critical to our path forward, but the delivery methods, variety of content, and strategy will change quite a bit over time. Changing Redefined in its current form is the first step toward new growth.

Next, we'll be consolidating our physical mailing lists. We currently have a First Word and a Redefined mailing list. We are combining these lists, and the First Word mailing list will become the primary physical mailing list at First Baptist Starkville. If you no longer wish to receive a monthly physical mailer from First Baptist Starkville, we're going to give you an opportunity to unsubscribe from this new mailing list soon. We will continue emailing First Word monthly and First Five regularly in 2024.

Let's look forward to what God has for our church and pray that we lean into and listen to his will for First Baptist Starkville.
